My Background

Hello everyone! My name is Rose Tatum, and I am a nonprofit professional with extensive experience in building, leading, and scaling successful volunteer programs. I offer a range of services to help nonprofit organizations achieve their goals, including gap analysis, strategic development, program development, and engaging workshops and classes. My mission is to empower organizations with tailored solutions for impactful volunteer management and growth.

I'm passionate about volunteerism, lifelong learning, cultural exchange, travel, and making a positive impact through nonprofit work. As the Director of Volunteering with ENGin, I led a dedicated team to scale the ENGin global volunteer program to over 13,000 active volunteers from 130+ countries, focusing on engaging people of all ages worldwide. I managed volunteer relationships, built strong partnerships, and developed initiatives that continue to drive ENGin’s mission forward.

Other experience, outside of my role as a consultant, includes managing volunteer departments at Lower Cape Fear Life Care and Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry, where I led strategic initiatives, developed successful programs, and increased volunteer engagement. I've also led engaging workshops and classes on volunteer programs, including a workshop for Mandela Washington Fellows at Appalachian State University.

A lifelong learner and avid traveler, I've visited 22 countries and 48 U.S. states, enriching my perspective and ability to connect with diverse populations. My skills in public speaking, strategic planning, and problem-solving enable me to lead and inspire others. Driven by a passion for service and exploration, I strive to empower communities and advocate for the greater good.
